Seeing if I can post from my phone for starters.
Ok, so I'm sitting in the car on the way home after Thanksgiving and I had an idea as I was trying to decide what alignment my next D&D character would be. The idea is to list various characters from pop culture under what alignment you think they are. I'm bored ok?
Lawful Good - Jean Luc Picard. Picard operates under the rule of the prime objevtive. Picard regards all life, even life that may seem to be evil, as equal (unless you're watching one of the shitty movies) and always stands by his compatriots. Picard is unflinchingly steadfast in his adherence to the orders of his superiors (again, unless you're watching one of the craptastic movies) and he expects those around him to be the same.
Other examples - Batman, Superman, Jon Watson (of Sherlock Holmes), Aslan, Yoda
Neutral Good - Spiderman. Spiderman is a good guy, but he doesn't have the strict moral code of Batman or Superman, either to the law or another form of gudance. He doesn't disdain the law and even follows it most of the timeā¦..most of the time.
Other examples - Sherlock Holmes, James T. Kirk, Zorro, Qui Gon Gin, Aragorn
Chaotic Good - Indiana Jones. Indiana Jones does things his own way and is normally flying by the seat of his pants. He doesn't like being told what to do and has a general disdain for rules, bordering on contempt. The rules apply to him mostly only when it suits him. However, his moral compass is solid and he would never do anything malicious. He is a crusader against the evil plots of evil men but he does it in his own way.
Other examples - Malcolm Reynolds, Robin Hood, Every character Mel Gibson has ever played
Lawful Neutral - James Bond. Bond is guided by his mission. He would never do anything that might risk his mission, there is little he wouldn't do to complete his mission. He's fiercly loyal to his country and kills anyone in his way of defending it. He does good things, he does bad things, they don't guide him.
Other examples - Odysseus, Liam Niesen in Taken, Jason Bourne, Oonkas
True Neutral - Achilles. The greatest warrior of Agamemnon's army cared nothing about Agamemnon or his army, or the war into which he was thrust. Not only did he not care about his enemies but he also had no regard for the lives of his compatriots. He was so neutral he went almost the entirety of the 10 year Greek occupation of Troy without fighting. Achilles cared only about gaining fame and becoming a legend who would be remembered.
Other examples - Han Solo in Episode IV, John Rambo, Laura Croft
Chaotic Neutral - Captain Jack Sparrow. As taken from the first movie; Sparrow hates rules. So much so that he goes well out of his way just to mess with people who are trying to enforce them. That's not to say he wants to really hurt anyone, but he will if they get in his way or even if it would just suit his plan. His actions are impossible to predict and he's prone to being very unreliable.
Other examples - Jaba the Hutt, Snake Pliskin, Jayne Cobb
Lawful Evil - Darth Vader. Vader is not only beholden to his master the Emperor, he also observes military rank by following the orders of the Grand Moff. Vader's methods are fairly straight forward and he prefers to do his fighting himself and is actually a rather honorable warrior. However, he holds no regard for life and snuffs out those less powerful than he on a whim. He is merciless in his pursuits of power and control.
Other examples - Magneto, Saruman, Magwa, Agent Smith
Neutral Evil - Sauron. Sauron wants what he wants, which is ultimate power and control. He his motivated purely by his own desires. Sauron is beyond the reach of any law nor is he an agent of chaos. He acts as he sees fit with the soul intent of gaining that which he desires. Though chaos may ensue from his actions these are merely side effects. Causing death and destruction just make his rise of power sweeter.
Other examples - Tony Montana, Zombies, Le Schief, Mystique
Chaotic Evil - Bowser. Bowser would appear to have no goal other than inciting chaos. He forces violence onto others seemingly just to see how they deal with it. He has no discernible gain from his massively complex plans which he concocts purely to fuck with everyone around himself including those in his employ. His actions are as unpredictable as his motives and his regard for life is seemingly nonexistent.
Other examples - The Joker, Baron Samadi, Cthulu
Bowser's goal is to get the princess. He wants her and that is his purpose.
Stick them with the pointy end!
Left Hand Band (Master Admin)
Magus Europa (Admin)
Jade Weasels
Chaotic Evil : Dr. Robotnik - He has no restraints on his plans or side effects of which. Whatever it takes to achieve his goal, he will try to enact his plan to rule the world. Even though he is continually foiled, he is persistent in his endeavors. He is also always focused on killing Sonic and his pals.
